BPU Energy Fellows

BPU Energy Fellows

The BPU Energy Fellows program is a Rutgers University and NJ Board of Public Utilities (BPU) initiative that pushes the boundaries of innovative research, builds scientific and public policy expertise, and develops an advanced STEM workforce for the energy sector in New Jersey. Financially supported by the NJ BPU and administered by the Rutgers Center for Urban Policy Research, Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy, the program employs advanced graduate students and postdocs in cross-disciplinary research, collaborating across the fields of engineering, environmental science, social geography, architecture, urban planning, community sociology, mathematics, and economics. The Fellows contribute to program evaluations, energy and economic modeling tasks, R&D pilot studies, behavioral analyses, workforce development, equity, and market baseline studies, and program design and data decision-support tools in support of NJ’s clean energy transition.
