Building Ecological Solutions to Coastal Community Hazards (BESCCH)

The BESCCH Project was managed by New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Office of Coastal and Land Use Planning with financial support from the U.S. Department of the Interior and administered by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation Hurricane Sandy Coastal Resiliency Competitive Grant Program.  Staff at EAC worked with 12 coastal communities and Island Beach State Park to develop Coastal Vulnerability Assessments and facilitate the Getting to Resilience assessment aimed at furthering the resiliency of communities throughout New Jersey’s coastal zone.  More information on New Jersey’s Coastal Land Use Program can be found at http://www.nj.gov/dep/oclup/.
