The Environmental Analysis & Communications Group is working with Somerset County, the New Jersey Association of County and City Health Officials, and the New Jersey Public Health Association to explore the underlying factors, networks, and actions that can facilitate the integration of health equity practices into local hazard planning. This research project hopes to document replicable elements of the initiative, as well as contribute to broader knowledge regarding policies, programs, and strategies to address disproportionate impacts of climate change-related hazards on the health of disadvantaged communities
