Rutgers-Children’s Specialized Hospital Partnership

Rutgers CUPR Senior Executive Director, Dr. Senick with assistance from Ms. Giulianna Rivera has partnered with Children’s Specialized Hospital (CSH) to evolve a Rutgers University-CSH triadic research partnership model to advance research that responds directly to the needs of children with special needs and their families. The model connects CSH clinicians and research staff with Rutgers researchers, uniting clinical real-world experience with academic expertise and resources. Specific research initiatives are oriented to deliver patient-centered outcomes with mapping to CSH’s Centers of Excellence in (1) Autism, (2) Brain Injury, (3) Chronic Pain & Functional Neurological Disorders, and (4) Down Syndrome. The partnership will identify opportunities, generate new knowledge, strengthen collaboration, and translate findings into effective improvements in care, access, quality of life, and outcomes.
