Tim Van Epp, FAICP, Managing Director of Eurasia Environmental Associates LLC, has nearly 50 years of experience providing environmental sustainability and climate action planning to clients internationally and in the U.S. Internationally, he has developed national, sub-national and local environmental sustainability strategies; environmental threats and opportunities assessments; environmental sustainability and green infrastructure plans; and biodiversity conservation plans in Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Iran, Afghanistan, Mongolia, China, Zambia and the US, as well as other environmental projects in over 30 other countries. In the US, Mr. Van Epp has prepared climate action and resilience plans, sustainable master plan elements, energy efficiency and conservation programs, and green infrastructure plans; and has served on state, regional and local advisory boards relating to these subjects. He is a Past Chair of APA’s International Division, which won best overall performance by a division for 2 of the 4 years (2014-2018) he was Chair and won the Terry Holzheirmer Leadership Award by the APA Divisions Council recognizing an APA division member for their passion, commitment, leadership, and exemplary service to divisions, division initiatives, and APA. He has been active in organizing, moderating and speaking at NPC sessions on international sustainability topics for several years.
