Created by the NJ Office of Clean Energy (OCE) in 2009, the New Jersey Climate Choice Home Pilot Project represents the top of a three-tiered residential energy efficiency rating system.  As part of the data analysis and reporting component of the evaluation, the Rutgers Center for Green Building created a comprehensive life cycle cost tool to analyze energy life cycle performance in a sample of pilot Climate Choice homes.  Methods also included homeowner interviews/surveys in order to gather information on occupancy patterns, behaviors, and other factors affecting energy consumption.
