Take the STEW-MAP Survey

News

If you are a park advocate, a beach cleaner, a kayaker, an environmentalist, an educator, or a community organizer based in the New York-New Jersey Harbor Estuary – we need your help in putting your group on the map. Don’t let your hard work go unrecognized!

STEW-MAP, the New York-New Jersey Harbor & Estuary Program Stewardship Mapping and Assessment Project, is a comprehensive map of more than 3,000 civic environmental groups working in our amazing harbor estuary. The US Forest Service STEW-Map team is partnering with the New York-New Jersey Harbor & Estuary Program to better understand the capacity of organizations working in waterfront parks and other publicly accessible shorelines.  This effort builds on previous work by the US Forest Service and other partners. Please help us by takingthis STEW-MAP survey to be a part of this new effort.

Together we will count, map, connect and better support all the different forms of stewardship of our public waterfront spaces. The assessment and maps will be shared publicly and will be used to ensure the effectiveness of the Estuary Program and Hudson River Foundation small grant programs. The survey will only be open for a limited time and we will be reaching out to key stewards to follow up if we do not hear from you via the survey. We thank you for your participation!
